Cute & Creepy Art Show by Nathan Mazur and Jessica LaVecchia

If you happen to be in Pittsburgh in May, check out this art show by Neatorama's artist extraordinaire Nathan Mazur (he drew the NeatoTurtle at the bottom of our webpages) and Jessica LaVecchia:

Zombo Gallery, Pittsburgh’s home for hip lowbrow art, announces the an all new 2 person exhibit by local artists Jessica LaVecchia and Nathan Mazur; Cute & Creepy, opening Saturday, May 1st at 6pm.

Cute & Creepy is an exhibit comprised of paintings and other miscellaneous items by local artists Jessica LaVecchia and Nathan Mazur. As the name of the show indicates, the subject matter ranges from cute to… well, creepy. Monsters, bunnies, zombified fisher-price style little people, anthropomorphic food and heart based flatulence are all things to expect from this unique showing.

The team-up between LaVecchia and Mazur for this show was born out of the desire to hopefully expose their respective fans to one another’s work. “While our artistic styles differ from each other, there are some similarities on a more visceral level that I think people who enjoy our work will appreciate”, explains Mazur.

Zombo Gallery, 4900 Hatfield St., Pittsburgh. May 1 to May 28th. For those who can't make it, Nathan promises online sale of the featured art.

This so reminds me of a site popular around the office about 5 years ago for trolling coworkers. Weeeelcome to zombo.com ... this is zombo.com ...
