Eating a Camel Hump

In the United Arab Emirates, adventurous chef Anissa Helou got a chance to taste roasted camel hump. The tender hump full of stored fat is the choicest part of the camel, and you have to buy an entire camel to get the hump. In this post, you'll also see how to cook a whole camel at once! Link -Thanks, Hanan!

I'm pleased that they don't just cut the hump off and let the camel stumble off to die.

Still, a lump of camel fat covered with what looks like yellow vomit sauce must be an acquired taste.

It actually didn't look that bad. Well the outside yellow stuff looks gross, but the meat looks pretty good. Looks like a slow cooked tender potroast.
