Whatever you do, don't piss off the cafeteria staff. Here's what students at Atlantic City High School learned the hard way:
School administrators have found an effective way to crack down on students who engage in food fights: Let them eat cheese. And nothing else.
Students at Atlantic City High School were served plain cheese sandwiches for two days this week as punishment for a cellphone-coordinated food fight that broke out recently.
One parent likened the American cheese between two dry slices of plain white bread to "a prison meal."

It's a lot healthier than burgers, fries, egg-rolls, sloppy joes, pizzas, and various cookies and candy bars combined with sugar loaded soda :) That's if they don't drive over to Micky D's, Burger King, Wendy's, Taco Bell, Jack in the Box, Domino's or some other fast food joint ;)
The policy has been on the books for a long time soI can understand why the school did it. Being punished for something is SUPPOSED to be uncomfortable. If you're going to be an idiot and participate in a coordinated food fight, you have to be willing to face the consequences.
And that list of normal menu options made me want to go eat a cheese sandwich. They're whining because they're not being allowed to eat utter crap for lunch. Ugh.
They sold bottled drinks at the snack bar. People were flinging these said bottles filled and open in the hallways getting people wet, so they started pouring the drinks into big cups, that solved that problem. Thats about the worst thing I've seen them do.
But this hardly seems like a punishment to me. I can see a good lawyer saying this doesn't fulfill the requirements for a "healthy" lunch though.
Crazy idea: pack your own lunch!
Prison meals are extravagant when you compare them to a cheese sandwich.
A typical meal consists of a meat, two veggies, a salad and a starch. Sometimes you get fruit and vegetable in place of the two veggies.
The way the meal turns out depends on who is preparing it.
If the parents do not like the actions - they are free to make brown bag lunches for their kids.
High five to the cafeteria staff of Atlantic High School.
