My wife and I came across this dog grooming business with an awesome name in Simi Valley, California. Of course, Indiana Jones fans already know that "Indy" was the nickname of the family dog. Thanks Tiffany!

Pretty clever, but I guess that eventually they will be punished for trademark infringement and copyright violations. The point will not be whether these claims have merit, but if the dog groomers can afford the money and costs to defend themselves.

Indiana was the dog's actual name, not nick name. It was Indiana Jones' nickname.

"We named the dog Indiana."

One of these has been open in THousand Oaks (just south of Simi Valley) for over 10 years. It's nice that they haven't been forced to change the obviously satirical name.

There's an animal hospital in Indianapolis called "Sherlock Bones." The sign has a cute cartoon dog in tweed cape and deerstalker hat.
