Fard is an animated short directed by Luis Bricenco and David Alapont. It's in French with no subtitles, but the plot is visual. The action really gets going about four minutes in. The style and effects make it quite memorable. Link -via Metafilter
Oddly enough, the English verb "to fard" means "to apply make-up." I believe there was some sort of joke to that effect, where you start saying how you could spot people farding in their cars on the way to work. "How could you tell?" "It was pretty obvious by how their faces changed."
For the non French speaking audience, 'fard' means 'make-up'.
