12 Beautiful Castles in Canada

Take a look at a dozen of the most beautiful castles in Canada. Some are government buildings, some were built to attract tourists, and some are private creations by some of Canada's wealthiest citizens. Best of all, some are open to the public, so you can go see them for yourself! Shown is Château Frontenac in Quebec City.

I've stayed in both Banff Springs and Chateau lake lousie when i visited canada.

You can hire canoes from the hotel to sail on lake lousie and apparently if you fall in its so cold that you only have 5 mins to get out and get dry before death ^^

I've never really thought of the hotels as castles, just fancy-pants hotels.

They're known as railway hotels because they were originally built along the Trans-Canada Railway for affluent travellers to stay in.
