Caption Monkey 69: The Ski's the Limit

This week's photo comes from the Commons, an amazing archive of photos on flickr.

If you can think up a funny caption, post it in the comments below. The funniest (as determined by me) will win an original drawing of a monkey (also by me). You have 24 hours to bring the funny.

UPDATE: We have a winner! It's pismonque, with "Adding insult to injury, Larry's wedgie was so massive it actually amplified his humiliation while slowing his escape from the bullies."

Yeouch! Thanks for playing, everyone! See you next time!

Carl thought he had assembled all the necessary elements for wingless flight: a pair of skis, an old bed sheet from his mother's linen closet, and a six pack of infamous "El Diablo" extra spicy burritos he had for lunch at the base of the mountain.

Sadly, Carl, the bed-sheet, and his underpants did not survive the experience.

I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
Spread my wings and fly away
I believe I can soar
I see me running through that open door
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly

"Clearly it can't be so difficult to fly," thought Jeffrey. "Birds do it, and I'm smarter than a bird." Unfortunately for Jeffrey, Cecil the blue jay had purposely thrown their chess match last week as a favor to a friend.

"It wasn't until the instant after he'd launched from the Matterhorn that Franz realized the parachuting tips extracted from the American POW were probably not as reliable as his superiors had assured him."

"What are you doing? You're slowing down! You're slowing down!"

"I'm bringing him in closer, Merlin."

"You're going to do what?!"

"I'm gonna hit the brakes, he'll fly right by."

"They said our love will never last", said Skippy. "A flying squirrel can never love a woman, especially not an Olympic skier. We proved them wrong. Someday, my son, you will find your true purpose in life. Someday."

Sadly, the prodding of sponsors and the stress of his Olympic career awakened the suppressed childhood obsessions of the formidable Linus van Pelt, whose regression effectively drove him into obscurity and a hermit's life in the mountains.
