Dark Knight Plot Hole Rap

(YouTube Link)

As one of millions of people who like the new Batman franchise, and can't wait for Christopher Nolan to make part III, I must admit this song makes some valid criticisms regarding The Dark Knight.  (via io9).

I'm not sure how to take this video since it goes so far as to answer some of its own questions. They seem to be reaching a little too hard for the smallest gripes that aren't really even confusing. For example:

The fact that one of the central themes (repeated throughout the movie) went over their heads kinda places their other qualms into perspective. If you don't understand it then, yeah, you aren't going to understand the scene with Gordon and his son, as well as the reason Batman took the fall for Dent.

To put the Morgan Freeman thing into perspective, would the average American care if our military were to build another tank tomorrow? No? How about if they told us all of our phones would be wire-tapped tomorrow? There's a huge distinction there, and it's one worth quitting over.

I don't remember Joker's henchmen being any more or less dependable than depictions of henchmen/criminal organizations in other films. I think the scene with the pool cue did a good job explaining exactly why Joker's henchmen would do what he says (which might include rigging two boats to explode...why do they think Joker had to do that himself?)

And wtf, he spends plenty of time brooding over Rachel Dawes.

I agree with what has been said before, but would also like to add:

"IT IS A FRICKIN' COMIC BOOK! If you want a study in motivation read Sophie's Choice."

That is all. Thank-you for listening.

I still maintain the Joker's shcemes were far too complicated for The Joker, like countng on being caught and stuff. It all smacks more of the Riddler. So the fanboy in me just reasons maybe Edward Nigma was employed as some some sort of tacticle advisor.
Someone also pointed out that with the Tumbler destroyed and the Lamborghini featured, the next batmobile will be designed as a cross between the two. You can look for plot holes, or look for clues to brilliance, even if they're not there.

This is part of The Key of Awesome series. Very funny stuff. I like their "Lady Gaga vs. Lord Gaga" as well.

As for this one, I agree with this: At least they got rid of Joel Schumacher.

Yea every one of the "plot holes" can be explained pretty easily and make plenty of sense. These people didn't put as much effort into understanding the movie as they did pointing out supposed holes.

And Batman sounds that way because his cowl has a device that warps his voice!!!! Bale gets so much shit for it, but that's batman folks. Nerd up and learn.

Hyperbole is now synonymous with bold? Someone tell Merriam-Webster, I don't think they got the memo.

And yeah, it's a pretty funny video. The criticisms are kind of ridiculous, given the movie's content, but that's the nature of nitpicking.

The Dark Knight was the worst movie ever. Yeah, Red Zone Cuba and Manos The Hands Of Fate were cinematic fucking GOLD! Get a life.
How about complaining about ligitement plotholes like the second cop Dent supposedly killed. He killed Whertz but let Rameriez live. Also, who flew the fuckin plane Batman skyhooked onto?
