Upcycling Firehoses as Purses

'Upcycling' is the act of directly reusing waste materials as marketable goods. At the link, you can view a Reuters News video (embed disabled) about how various upcycled products are now available to consumers, as featured at the recent London Design Festival. Among the festival's participants was the Elvis & Kresse Organization -- a UK-based company which upcycles worn-out firehoses as luggage and other products usually made with leather.

Pretty neat really. If a purse isn't your cuppa tea, they also have belts and travel bags for toiletries. Maybe wallets... I forget. Might have to look again.
I got the belt, upcycled belts are my thing. :)

Reminds me of the Priest who did the circumcisions at ceremony all his life. Well, he was retiring and for some sick reason he saved every foreskin from every ceremony, he wanted something special so he gave them to a leather working and said, "surprise me".
2 weeks later he went back and the man hands him a wallet.
"you me 30 years I saved these and all you can give me is a wallet?"

"Padre," The man replied "rub it a few times and it becomes a 5 piece set of luggage."
