It's like that movie Final Destination. An Italian woman who didn't get on Air France flight 447 because she arrived late to the airport was killed in a car crash just two weeks later:
Johanna Ganthaler, a pensioner from Bolzano-Bozen province, had been on holiday in Brazil with her husband Kurt and missed Air France Flight 447 after turning up late at Rio de Janeiro airport on May 31.
All 228 people aboard lost their lives after the plane crashed into the Atlantic four hours into its flight to Paris. [...]
It said that Ms Ganthaler died when their car veered across a road in Kufstein, Austria, and swerved into an oncoming truck. Her husband was seriously injured.
You must understand that the IPU works in mysterious ways.
According to the italian article here http://www.ilgiornale.it/a.pic1?ID=357991 she died on the same day. They landed in Austria, got into a car (their son got into another car), and then had the accident on the way back to Italy. Her husband is still in the hospital.
this is real life people, not something out of a movie.
...Ah, missed that plane...?
Pity. But no worry-
Get you on the first next occasion...
...Now tell me again the Grim Reaper doesn't exist...

Our brains are wired to look for patterns, even when they don't exist. This brings up the fallacy of "fate". This bizarre fixation towards "fate" blocks us from reality.
What is reality? We will all die one day. There is no pattern. There is no "meaning". Our bodies are very fragile. One day, they will simply give out, or something happens to interrupt vital bodily processes.
Is this "depressing"? I don't think so. Depression doesn't stop something from happening, so why embrace it? Truth is, if one accepts this reality, they can let go their fear and the illusions this fear brings.
Sarcasm.
Peace n Blessings!
