Sun Dry Swim has produced a swimsuit made of nanomaterials that repel water, so it never gets wet. Water will just roll off of it, and it will be instantly dry, because technically it never got wet in the first place.

I guess it's handy for getting rid of that wet suit feel, but that's just part of the whole experience.
If your referring to synthetic thermoplastic materials such as Polyester or Nylon, you'd be surprised how much water they actually absorb. Sure, they don't hold as much water as other fabrics (eg. cotton), but they don't repel it like this stuff supposedly does.
@kev
agree 1000%!

It was a joke. I had actual trash bags in mind when I made the comment. It's funny how things can seem useless on the surface. For instance, the pen that writes upside down (but the Russians used a pencil HAHA!)
I'm surprised this didn't already exist given the liquid resisting materials already out there. I'm guessing the novelty of this is both thinness and pliability of the material.
apparently, im the only one who thought so
That's totally Kooky I tell ya!
Pssshhhhhhh!
I remember that as a kid haha~
