In Depth Look at Lifesized Bumblebee Build

[YouTube - Link]
This three and a half minute video encapsulates the five-plus-hour process of erecting an 18-foot tall, 3,700 pound lifesized replica of the Transformers Autobot Bumblebee.  The maquette travels in three separate crates on a flatbet truck.  It takes several forklifts, a lot of manpower, a few big wrenches and some heavy jiggling to put it together.

The video was shot by Mark Raker and edited by Jonathon Robinson this week at the Chicago Auto Show.  And yes, in the interests of full disclosure, we were hired by Chevrolet to be there.  But this video was not part of the deal... we just had so much incredible footage of the autobot being built we couldn't resist turning it into a video.

From the Upcoming ueue, submitted by ABOMIBOT.

More specifically a VW Beetle.

Can't you guys jiggle any faster? Seriously though, nice work from whatever group made that thing, and nice of them to make it dismtantlable and remountable for you guys.
