Hidden Message by Brad Troemel

Ooh, it's there all right. It's a hidden message by Brad Troemel - the question is: can you see it? See the bigger version at today and tomorrow blog.

I have a hint for aspiring artists: When you hide a message, and then tell the world that you did it, be sure that the message is something worth the effort.

for those who think these need photoshoppery.. try clicking and dragging the 'ghosts' of the blocks over each other.. voila. No adjustments needed. Way to overcomplicate things.

Took the black one into a photo thingy and adjusted values. Maybe I didn't eat enough carrots as a child?

But had no prob with the others.

My son spent a happy holiday exchanging secret messages with a friend by printing them in speckly-filled yellow print on white paper. Very hard to read until you scan it.

Recent printers add colour speckles in a predetermined pattern to let the government follow you up if you do naughty things.

########SPOILER BELOW##########

###############################

For those that didn't have the time to stare long enough, the black panel reads:
"ongradulations, you, are, the, millionth"

Yes, I know the spelling is off for "congratulations" but that's what I could make out. (I reeeeeally stared)

Can't say it was worth the 20 minutes. If only it had told me how to satiate my curiosity for lame, enigmatic art...

by clicking and dragging I meant if you click and drag any image (in firefox at least) you can drag around a transparency of that image.. if you drag the white block over the black you you can see faint white lettering.. same with the red one over the white one.. bleh
