it grips internals,

twitching,

flexing,

There's also twtterfiction, which is 140 characters or less. There's at least two (paying!) "magazines" on Twitter. @ thaumatrope was the first, and @outshine is now up, too.

The first is general scifi/horror/etc. The second is looking for 'optimistic' scifi in haiku/poetry/pose poetry format.
