Some plants don't act like plants at all. Some trap prey, mimic animals, or smell bad. This picture is an example of Nepenthes lowii, which is related to insect-trapping plants, but prefers to attract birds with a tasty laxative secretion. It then survives on bird droppings! Pitcher plant ftw. In girl scouts, we learned that this was one of the plants used in jungle survival.
After looking at what was inside one,I decided I would rather eat tree bark.
