The casket is in good condition, having some minor rust damage and a little lime sentiment that shows water once entered the outside vault, although it seems the interior never suffered water damaged.

I do find it a bit odd that they feel it necessary to dig up a coffin that's been buried half a century, move the corpse to another site, and sell the old casket. All I can say is "why?" It sounds like the family is getting financially desperate.
they were all young as well. ritchie was 17, buddy was 22, and jp "the big bopper" was 28.
