My 3 month old kitten eats pretty much anything he can get his hands on including vegetables. Once he has it in his mouth he will lash out with his claws while pretty much growling. You'd think we don't feed him enough!
My parents have a cat that loves brussel sprouts. She lives at the farm shop and they have to keep knocking her off of the sprout stalks they are trying to sell. You don't wanna be anywhere near her after she's eaten them, they have the same gaseous effect on her as they do humans ;)
@Bunny - my current 7-yr old tuxedo LOVES canned green beans. I had some leftover so I put them in her bowl the other night and she gobbled 'til they were gone.
Tried it again with carrots and she was nonplussed. But, she will basically eat anything that has a 'nice' texture and that smells like food. Especially if we are eating it.
He's absolutely adorable. And my black-and-white cat also loves broccoli...and peas... There's something about those harlequin kitties...they are the clowns of the cat world, apparently.
My 11 year-old Abby-cat has always loved low-sodium V8-go figure.
I can't imagine how awful broccoli farts from a cat would be though-blecchhh!
