Photos of Your Pups and Mutts Wanted at Muttskis

Neatorama author Jill Harness of Rue the Day blog needs your help: she started a new dog photo blog called Muttskis (it's all about mutts!) and she needs photos of your pups and mutts.

If you have adorable furballs at home that are mutts, Muttski is the perfect place to show the world you love 'em. I hope Muttskis will soon have photos of basset hound mixes - I hear they are all have short legs and loooong a body, regardless of what the other mix!

This one above is Bosco, a rorgi (Rottweiller and Corgi mix). http://www.muttskis.com/ - Thanks Jill!

I have two bassett mixes, one is a Spassett (bassett hound/springer spaniel) and the other is a bastralian cattle hound (or blue bassetteeler) bassett and australian cattle dog. Bassett mixes seem to always get the best of both breeds AND they're great for starting conversation. Oh...and they're both long and low.

As of Monday, Nov. 17, the Pet Photo Gallery on progressive.com has been opened up to the public. Since opening up the site exclusively for employees in October, over 2,100 pet photos were submitted to the site and nearly 100,000 votes were cast for “Pet of the Week.”

With the conclusion of the employee pilot, all photos except the top 50 vote-getters will be removed from the site in order to provide a new experience for consumers when the site is opened to the public. Employees are encouraged to re-submit their photos and compete against the public in our “Pet of the Week” contest. The winning photo will be featured each week on the progressive.com home page.

To access the site, go to www.progressive.com/petphotos/pet-gallery.aspx.

My mutt is a beagle/basset hound mix with short legs and a long body, just like you've heard. Thankfully, she doesn't have the droopy face, but rather the beagle face which is too cute.
