When I was a kid, I had a cat that would find the can of wet cat food that had a lid on it (he knew that was the one that was already opened) and would bring it to you. If after sufficient meowing and staring didn't get your attention, he'd just open the can himself and eat right in front of you. He'd also take Tender Vittles (that stuff was NASTY) pouches out of the boxes, rip it open and have a snack any time he wanted. Didn't matter how well you hid his food, he'd find it. Oh and by the way he was a big fat cat.
I also had a cat that would turn the lights on and off by himself (he didn't like the dark).
My brother had a cat that could open their refrigerator door. They used to have to keep a heavy chair placed in front of it or all their food would go bad (the cat didn't close the door... how rude).
