Clara Meadmore said that sex seemed a "hassle" and she's glad that she has done without it for all of her 105 years!
Over the years many a centenarian has delivered their secret for a long life.
Not smoking, daily exercise, moderate drinking, being married (and sometimes not being married) have all had their champions.
But, at the ripe old age of 105, Clara Meadmore could trump the lot: a life of celibacy.
Miss Meadmore says she has always been too busy for relationships and thought of physical intimacy as a 'hassle'.

Also, different people have different sex drives. There are people on earth who consider themselves 'asexual', their meaning being that they are not interested in sex at all and probably see it as a hassle as well.
She's just a control freak it seems. Maybe she had a bad experience that put her off from having sex or something, who knows.
She'll never know what she missed out on. Not just the physical act itself, but the intimacy, the feeling of someone holding you, touching you......
Oh well... sucks for her. I'm sure she's been happy living in her little virgin bubble.
Even my mother, who loved her dearly, said it was a shame that she was being "returned unopened".
I didn't want to laugh but really couldn't help myself.
Her quote is funny though "sex is a hasle". how would she know? :P
there is a disorder called 'hypoactive sexual desire disorder', but it has to cause distress for the person in order for it to be a treatable disorder... and it sounds like she never found it distressing?
Good lord... Imagine how old she might've ended up if she'd had some sex!

If some are to be believed, you should bump uglies with anyone at age 14 and keep doing so every weekend until yer dead. Eh, don't mind the boys. They'll hump a knot in a tree if they can call that "sex". Hee hee hee..
anyway, whose's checked her claim?
Also, did Jesus say anything about no sex until marriage? Or is that a church law? I thought all the no premarital sex stuff was old testament (thus, not 'CHRISTian').
Although, it does seem Jesus has some things to say about divorce. here's something interesting:
