The Likelihood of Death

We all have a 100% chance of dying -eventually. Today's Lunchtime Quiz at mental_floss tests how well you know the odds of dying in different situations for different people. I scored 100%, because, well, I read a lot. http://www.mentalfloss.com/blogs/archives/17634

Well the one I got wrong was the Tennessee / Sth Dakota one. Which is not surprising considering I have no idea where either one is within the US, or anything else about them for that matter.

Every now and then I get upset about the American slant behind the global phenomenon of the WWW.

There's an absolute clanger of a question in there, and it's the one I got "wrong":

"How much longer will the average Asian woman live than the average African-American man?"

Uh, yeah. I interpreted "Asian woman" to mean "Woman who lives in Asia". The quiz writers meant it as "Woman of Asian descent who lives in America".

I interpreted "Asian woman" as "a woman who lives in Asia"... and I got it right. For that question, I was thinking of Okinawans...

And I'm not American, and I still got 100%. While the quiz was somewhat biased towards Americans, it doesn't mean the rest of us can't know some trivia.
