Astro Boy Made from Recycled Metro Tickets



To mark the opening of Tokyo's new Fukutoshin subway line, volunteers have created a 3.2 x 2.1 meter (10 x 7 ft) large pixel art of the Japanese manga character Astro Boy. The creation was made from 138,000 recycled Tokyo Metro tickets.

There should be a similar monument at the NBC headquarters as astroboy did more to shape my generation's television viewing habits than virtually any other program. He helped launch the cartoon bonanza that used to be a staple of Saturday morning programing.
