Ice Cream Light Bulb

You know what those swirly new energy-efficient fluorescent light bulbs remind me of? Ice cream! And apparently, I'm not the only one - here's Whippy (2006) made by artists Alex Garnett and Nahoko Koyama of Mixko:

Tempscire is dead on. I live in an historic house filled with lots of old style exposed bulb fixtures. These stupid compact fluorescent bulbs and the idiot politicians that keep trying to force them on us drive me nuts.

I see nothing wrong with compact fluorescent but they are an environmental hazard and I wouldn't trust them in a house with kids as mercury would have a much greater effect on them.

Very interesting. As a company, we at Superior Lighting are always looking for new ways to become more eco friendly. We offer energy efficient light bulbs and lighting solutions and work with vendors on sound packaging methods.  What else can we do?
Thanks,
