This 3-way chessboard was purchased in the Czech Republic. The pieces move in the same way as normal chess, but that becomes a little weird in the center of the board, where six “squares” ajoin. The first person to checkmate either of the other two wins. The biggest problem I see is finding two people who want to play with you! http://meignorant.com/3-way_chess -via the Presurfer

I see three black squares with their corners touching.
Does it get to choose?

Try it with "Tempete sur l'echiquier" (http://www.chessvariants.com/cards.dir/tempete.html, "Knightmare Chess" for the English version of the game) Headache incomimg!
im seriosly interested and cant find one anywhere ? please mail me back
It works perfectly (although indeed a little confusing, for beginners in Geometry ...), and it keeps unaltered all the rules of covnventional chess, that is, you don't have to learn much thing new (besides not to get dizzy with the understanding of the M. C. Escher (see Wiki ...) craziness of the looks of it :D
Wonderful! Can hardly wait to try it. I think I'll have to make one out of paper, so as to try, cause I won't buy it for now ... (No money :( ...)
