Places Named After Las Vegas Casinos

Alex

Nathan of Scuba Ninja has a photo essay of various places in California with the same names as (the more famous) Las Vegas Casinos. The MGM Banquet Hall in Glendale, California, even has the same green neon lightings as the Las Vegas casino it's named for!

There used to be a hair salon in Las Vegas called Scissors Palace. Caesars Palace heard about this, and threatened to sue. The salon is still there, but is now called Hannah and Her Scissors.

Which reminds me, it looks like Nathan screwed up on one title. There's no apostrophe in Caesars Palace. It's a plural, not a possessive.

And clue #4 is the large casing length for a 4.5mm projectile, indicating that an increased amount of propellant is required, which would be the case for a bullet fired in a much denser medium, like water.

Too easy! Clue number one "special environment". Clue number two was what appears to be a sheath for a diving knife in the background of the photo.

It's a gorgeous firearm, though!
