Trivia: The Real Name of Los Angeles

In 1781, a group of 44 settlers founded a town named "El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles del Río de Porciúncula," ("The Town of Our Lady the Queen of the Angels on of the River Porciúncula"). We now know it simply as Los Angeles.

Likewise, the full name of Santa Fe, NM, is "La Villa Real de la Santa Fe de San Francisco de Asís," which translates as "the Royal City of the Holy Faith of Saint Francis of Assisi!"

...queen of the angels OF the river...

I think it could probably be translated to make it not so literal, so it actually says "The Town of Our Lady, the Queen of the Porciúncula River Angels", but now I'm just focusing on minutia.
