I didn't think that using a fire extinguisher is that difficult (aim at base of fire, pull trigger), but apparently there is a need for training.
Enter BullsEye, a digital fire extinguisher training simulator, which allows you to put out virtual fire during training, without the mess associated with using dry-chemical or CO2 extinguishers.
Link (here's the video) - via GeekAlerts
it's employees trained in using fire extinguishers
using a burning gas-oil mix in a large pan. It's not
as easy at it seems, and I didn't get it on the first
try.
I can't imagine that a virtual fire would behave the
same as a real fire, but I suppose it's better than nothing in a situation where it isn't possible to set up a pan of burning fluid outside.
Missing your pointy hair boss chocking and gagging? come on! that's worth a big raise! I don't find this virtual fire thingy neat ! ;)
