Most Frightening Ice Cream Flavors Ever

Who Sucks blog has what probably is the largest list of the most frightening ice cream flavors from around the world (okay, mostly from Japan, but that's to be expected ...)

This one is:

Fish Ice Cream
Something must smell fishy about ice cream flavored with saury - a saltwater fish popular in Japan. But there’s no worries about that with this offering from Kimura Shoten as the fishy fumes have been drowned out by liberal doses of brandy.

Yeah, the horse ice cream took the--ahem--cake.

I love green tea ice cream, though. And I'd be willing to try the stout ice cream, something tells me it'd actually be pretty tasty if it's done well.

Some of those flavors remind me of the kooky Iron Chef who had a habit of making ice creams out of almost every ingredient he was given. (I *LOVED* that show...)

I think the most horrifying ice cream type thing I've seen is akutuq. It's essentially Eskimo ice cream, made from seal oil and reindeer fat and mixed with berries (and I think some ice too). I saw it on Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmerman.
