Inmate's Last Meal Request Denied by Prison, Fulfilled by Regular People.

Tennessee inmate Philip Workman requested that his last meal be a vegetarian pizza donated to any homeless person near prison, but prison official refused (they do not donate to charity, they said)

Upset after hearing the news, a few people decided to donate pizzas to homeless shelters themselves:

That apparently upset a few people willing to pay for and deliver a lot of pies themselves.

Homeless shelters across Nashville were inundated with donated pizzas all Wednesday. (Watch homeless feast on piles of pizza Video)

"I was like, 'Wow, Jesus!' " said Marvin Champion, an employee of Nashville's Rescue Mission, which provides overnight shelter, food and assistance to more than 800 homeless people a night.

I hope the POS died in agony. He was a murdering, thieving, sub-human piece of garbage who finally paid his debt to society. And, just like a POS, he wanted to make a statement with taxpayer money. Good for the prison system nixing that idiocy.

In the lengthy CNN piece, here is the only bit about what this POS did to receive the death sentence:

"When Workman robbed a Wendy's in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1981, he was a strung-out cocaine addict looking for a way to pay for his next high, he has said.

He was homeless at the time. Workman was convicted of shooting and killing Memphis Police Lt. Ronald Oliver during the robbery."

The rest of the article is a puff piece glorifying the sphincter.
