North Korean Propaganda.

Fed up with ads for handcreams and fizzy drinks? Just look at what the citizens of North Korea see on their way to work:

Stylistically, these posters poise somewhere between the classic Russian and Chinese propaganda posters and Marvel comics. The tone is fanatical, fantastical, pornographicaly violent. But one thing's for sure: America gets it, hard, up the ass, each and every time.

Much like Saddam's promise to wage "the mother of all wars" on the USA in Gulf War II, (when in fact the Republican Guard capitulated like a fart in a bath), the rhetoric of the DPRK and the reality of a toe-to-toe bout with Bush's nuclear arsenal are far removed from each other.

Oh, man. I lived in Korea for two years and they used to throw that stuff out a couple times a month. I lived on a military post, so were supposed to turn in this "communist material." But...we kept a few to remember the excitement!!

I lived in Korea for one year, at camp gary owens. We found these propaganda all the time as well. I ended up keeping one for memory sakes. I wonder what the consequences are for having kept one, instead of turning it in.
