Union for a Popular Movement (Union pour un Mouvement Populaire [wiki] or UMP) is a French conservative political party. During the summer, besides handing out leaflets, activists for the party also wore this clever flip-flop that imprinted the party's initials on the sand. Link [flickr] - via Guerilla Innovation |
Funny where these ideas originate...temple prostitutes in Corinth in Greece wore sandles that spelled out "follow me" in Greek in the sand. I wonder if they realize that's where they're coming from? :)

No shame in France for "flip-flopping" in politics? Even with conservatives?

I got some flip-flops like this from the Spam Museum in Minnesota that printed the word "SPAM" in the sand. The catalog at the Spam website sells them.
