Corner Shot Holdings, LLC, an American Israeli company, has tackled the problem with a unique solution: the Corner Shot, a weapon system that provides the ability to observe and engage a target from behind a corner. In other words, it allows you to see and shoot around corners without exposing yourself to deadly return fire by the badguys.
I saw this very thing, on CSI Miami the other night. I thought they had made it up, for a plot device. I know similar weapons are in developement for the US military.
Not unlike the XM29 OICW (Objective Individual Combat Weapon) , that is used in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon series of games, based on actual military prototypes.
"Imperialist boomerang"... Ha! Its no surprise that after the cancellation of the OICW, some of those crazy Israelis would come up with something like this. Worthy of note, though: the Nazis were doing this 60 years ago. Ironic, eh?

It takes all that hardware just to fire a GLOCK handgun.
