Fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier proved that big is beautiful by using size 20 models for his 30th anniversary show during fashion week in Paris. Link - via A Welsh View This comes after the concern over stick-thin "size zero" models, one of which died at a catwalk show after days without eating. |
i thought the idea of a catwalk was to make the models look good in the clothes they wear. I am sorry, but she just doesn't look good. I'm sure people could design clothes that looked good on size 20 people, but there are serious no nos. For example upper legs, midriffs and top of arms.
like everyone else was saying though, why not normal sized people?
Proved something, but I don't think that was it.
I'm with the "normal-sized models" crowd. Or at least dress her in something a little more dignified than trampwear!
