It's definitely a challenging time for the blog and the shop, but I'll try to keep them both running the best I can. I am sorry to see Miss C, Jill and Zeon go, and hope that I can get them back one way or another. They still have posting privileges, but I'm sure that they have to spend their time in a way that will provide for their families.

Amazon is definitely a big factor, but keep in mind that blogging and online publishing have changed a lot in the past few years. Ad revenues continue to decline, ad blocking becomes more and more common, and social media algorithms becomes more and more fickle.

Times change, and Neatorama has to change as well - so all is not lost: we'll figure out a way to adapt.

I doubt that Google keeps track of Amazon's scalp belt unless the victim is particularly noteworthy. They sure don't keep track of the mom-n-pop stores that Amazon kills off. Miss Cellania herself told me that Amazon now sells custom t-shirts and such just like the Neatorshop does and that they cannot compete here. Anyway, she's gone and you will never see another of her posts.

'Tis true, Edward, just not at all well advertised. The staff was laid off although Zeon seems to still be posting. Miss Cellania and Jill Harness are definitely gone. Now there will just be Alex.

Amazon killed the Neatoshop, which is how they had been staying afloat. And the site may just close; it's up to Alex.
