How to Use a Target Shopping Basket

Friday, redditor gatorb888 posted a picture of a woman using a shopping basket at Target. That’s not a long-handled cart. That’s the rack where the store stacks the baskets.

Apparently she’s not the only person who does this. Within a couple of hours, coreymans posted another example. Is this going to become a thing?

Yeah, I think it already is a thing.

It didn’t take redditor allofthethings13 long to zip over to Target and illustrate how it's supposed to be done. So the next time you go to Target, there might not be any baskets at all, because someone is using them all -and the rack, too!

Update: Yes, there are already more pictures.

Unfortunately, the Targets in our city have discontinued those baskets with extendable handles, which means you now have to use either a full cart or else court muscle strain carrying the much-smaller baskets. I assume it's to force people to use the larger carts and thus buy more.

I don't like shopping carts because they have a bar between the rear wheels and the fronts of my ankles hit the bar when I walk.
Also, I like the little baskets because they limit me by holding the same amount of stuff that will fit in my backpack. If something is too big for the basket, then it's too big to fit in my backpack, and I won't be able to carry it home on my bike.
