Matt Reedy, an artist in Alton, Illinois, is developing a series that he calls Little Golden Manga. A patron at my library urged me to try the anime series Death Note. I watched the first episode. It is an excellent work of writing and animation. In fact, it is too good at what it is trying to do. I decided that I did not want that kind of darkness inside my head and did not continue the series.
