Is it an Optical Illusion Tennis Match or is it just Australia?

Alex

I think this is how M.C. Escher played tennis! Imgur user cynicalnihilisticromantist submitted this photo of an optical illusion tennis match - or is it just a regular tennis match being played down under in Australia?

Because the image is flipped (with the exception of the players), the vanishing points of the court boundaries are wrong; ending behind the viewer instead of the horizon. That makes it look just wrong.

No, it's Photoshopped, but so many of those Escher-style illusions create ambiguity between foreground and background, which is especially easy to do when things don't appear smaller when they are more distant.

Albuquerque still has one. He has been painted over many times, and the property has changed just as many times.
The place he sits used to be a lumber company. He started out as a lumberjack, but then was destroyed by a fire. The owner replaced him with a chef body. Then remodeled as the lumberjack.
Back in (I think) April, he lost his arms and ax in a storm.

There's one in Tucson. He's a lumberjack but his axe is long gone. I've seen him holding a cardboard guitar advertising a local radio station, though.
