Friendly Sea Sponge

(Photo: Mauricio Handler/National Geographic)

Mauricio Handler photographed this sponge off the coast of Curaçao in the Caribbean. Some people think that it looks like Cookie Monster, but I agree with Joe Hanson, a Ph.D.-holding biologist: it's one of the Martians from Sesame Street.

Reminds me on the Muppet song, Do do, do do do, ma-na ma-na, do do do do, ma-na ma-na, do do, do do do do. Anybody know what I'm talking about or do I just sound like the town loony?

I read this a few days ago and thought it was so cute. We go to a small, family run pet shop and always take the dogs there. They shoplift too. We always end up paying for more than we intended because one of them will swipe a pig's ear from the big box in the corner. I'm going to make my dogs get jobs to pay for this stuff.

This story isn't actually from Idaho, it's from Utah. KSL is a television station in Salt Lake City and the Smith's mentioned is pretty close to my house in Murray. Just thought I'd clear that up.
