Yelp Strikes Back

Watch out you sneaky Yelpers, the website is now out to get you.  Apparently people have been using Yelp to make a quick buck. Users will rise to the rank of “elite reviewer” then people will pay them to review their place, restaurant, or what have you. Now the website is striking back.

Yelp is placing fake Craigslist ads that promise good reviews for money. Any business caught trying to buy reviews is publicly shamed for 90 days with a warning that informs users of their dastardly deeds.

British satirical magazine Private Eye has had a feature like this for years. They tend to be British political and pop culture figures, but they're often hilarious. They make it more funny by swapping the names under the pictures:

http://www.private-eye.co.uk/sections.php?section_link=lookalikes&lookalike=105 (ex-London Mayor Ken Livingstone)

(hint: change the 110 at the end of the URL to go back and look at the old entries.)

Dylan's looking like a cross between John Carradine and Vincent Price. Either way, I could still see him tying some beautiful young maiden to the railroad tracks.
