I don't usually ooh-and-aah over cars, but I'll gladly make an exception for this 1948 Timbs Special by Norman E. Timbs (and restored by Dave Crouse for the 2010 Concours d'Elegance).

You would think so, but no - the engine is in the back and the front is fixed.
They have. This was a Buick "hot rod". It seems cars like this don't sell. People want doors, a roof of some sort, windows, cargo capacity, interchangeable parts. You know - luxuries.
