Worldwide Per Capita Coffee Consumption



According to data compiled by environmental think tank World Resources Institute, Scandinavians drink a lot of coffee. Between 6.8 and 12.0 kilograms per year. So world travelers, does this map match up with your experiences?

@graymccarty: I disagree, and I'm not the only one.

People who drink Tim Horton's are caffeine addicts and not coffee lovers. Van Houtte (from Couche Tard or Mac's) is much better. The best is still home made drip coffee :)

The Scandinavians I know drink really strong coffee. I mean strong, not just Starbucks Dark Roast strong, I mean spoon practically stands up in it strong. That could be a reason for the high per capita consumption
