Ski Mask Self-Portrait

Last year, we featured Andrew Salomone's portrait of Bill Cosby in Jello shots. More recently, he used an electronic knitting machine to make a self-portrait in the form of a ski mask:

The balaclava is knit from cotton yarn and the design is from a bitmap file, in which pictures of my head from every angle were photoshopped together into a single rectangular image. I used the same images to make the bitmap file as I did for the original ID-Preserving Balaclava project.

(Sigh). So those that don't get the Keyboard Cat joke, it's basically a throwback to the Vaudeville shows. When someone's act failed to inspire, the actor was yanked offstage, and usually replaced by a trained monkey juggling or something. Hence KC stepping in after someone FAILs in a video.

When have we indicated that we don't know what it is a reference to? That was kinda condescending. It's just not funny, it's not funny because it has no humor to it, not because we don't understand it.

I was unfamiliar with that particular keyboard cat meme, so I assume others may be, as well.

I just thought it was another odd cat craft.
