Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" Played on the ISU Carillon - Neatorama

Ah, the power of Facebook. After some Iowa State University students started a Facebook campaign to get resident carillonneur Tin-Shi Tam to play Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" on the carillon, well, she did. This happened yesterday around noon.

I'm not sure if I would have caught it walking past the Campanile either. Being an Iowa State grad, I walked past it numerous times around noon when the bells normally go off. However, the tune might have been distinct enough. It's just not something you would expect to play across campus.

Enough with the Gaga covers already! Argh! They stopped being cool about two minutes into that
"Telephone" video done by the troops in Afghanistan. Enough!

I just spent five minutes watching a brilliant in-joke that, apparently, no one (other than the camera person and the unseen carillon player) got. Brilliant.

And it's pronounced like the name Carolyn. Which I found out after a carillon player corrected me.
