I learned early on (after watching the Shining) the best way to navigate a maze is to just pick left or right and keep going. Eventually you will exit the maze.

For sure rats will win if there is cheese at the finish line. Put a million dollar cash at the end of the maze and maybe you see a human winning the race. LOL.
