Someone tell me how this AC unit cools the apartment without any ducts or lines or anything running back into the apartment?

That is one sickening photo. What I don't get is why they're just installing a few here and there on that building, and at that point in its construction. Looks kinda odd.

What I really want to know is, why aren't these 2-piece air conditioners more popular in the United States?

We saw this sort of thing all the time when we lived in the Dominican Republic. Its not unique to Russia.

They don't "claim" women live longer, women DO live longer. Same as young males pay more for car insurance, because they cause more accidents. Sometimes there are reasons for price differentials.

I'm not saying this doesn't exist, but it seems some of these price differences (for products) are purely anecdotal. Without knowing all the factors that play into pricing I don't think you can just say "women's tax". The razors for instance aren't exactly the same. Maybe the women's razor costs more to produce, or that women buy less of that razor compared to men so the price is slightly higher to match supply and demand.

Woman's shave cream is less expensive. Women's hair dye is less expensive. Women get to drink for half price on Thursdays.
