Glove Map

Much better than drawing on your palm, this map of London was printed on a lady's leather glove. George Shove created these to help visitors find their way around during the Great Exhibition of 1851. Link -via Ectoplasmosis

Hello!

I just stumbled upon this post and thought you might be interested in my new product...Michigan Mittens. Having been born & raised in the Great Lakes State, I have been using my hands as virtual maps all of my life. When I told my husband about my idea to make mittens with maps of Michigan on the palms he thought it was great and designed them for me. They are available on our website. We are brand new at this and hope to perfect and add to our product line. I hope you like them! Thanks for letting me share.

You mean if you live in "Lower" Michigan.

I have friends that live in Marquette and SSM so the hand map doesn't work so well for them.

You'd think some clever Michigan tourist group would come out with the Michigan Mitten Map (bonus - it never needs folding).

If you live in Michigan like I do, this is accomplished without the glove. You just hold your right hand palm side up & point to where you live & where you want to go. :)
