There's a neat feature on the official Golden Compass website that allows you to answer a few questions and be paired with your very own "daemon," (pronounced dee-muhn)

According to the website:
In the magical world of the Golden Compass, every person has a life companion in the form of an animal called a "Daemon." A Daemon is a cross between the soul and a best friend. The animal form it takes is a manifestation of the host's true personality.

Unfortunately, it looks like the "Meet your own Daemon" test been removed. It was still up as of 11/8/08, but is gone now ~ the link seems to be gone from everywhere.

Neatorama does not host the site or the test; it was a promotional web site sponsored by the movie's production team. They would be able to give you more information.

Im tryng to find out my daemon is, but i cant find the test! The link just keeps taking me to the new k
line cinema page where it just sells the movie!! So if anyone could help me that would be great. Thanks(:

I am trying to do this cause i can't remember the name i of my daemon when i did this test a couple years ago. but i can't find the test, the links keep taking me to the new line cinema page where its just selling the movie.

They knew that there was no train traffic scheduled on the tracks and the residents in the area also knew. Sounds like the situation warrants a good talking to and not an arrest.

I just wonder if the thing is light enough for the occupants to quickly lift it up and get it off the tracks if needed.

It doesn't matter if they knew the schedule, it's still illegal. That's like saying it was ok to be doing 100 in a 55 because there were no other cars on the road at the time.

Yes, illegal, but not hurting anyone. Therefore a warning not to do it again would suffice. Speeding in a car isn't really a good analogy because this is a slow moving vehicle on a fixed track. It's not going to skid off the road at 100 mph and hurt someone. I know some might say "but IF a train came..." My dad always said "IF your aunt had balls she'd be your uncle."
