Nooooo!!! It's crocheted, not knitted. I know, only knitters and crocheters will care, but we're armed with pointy sticks and dull hooks, so beware! BTW, that sandwich is friggin' AWEsome, and she's got lots of other patterns for sale on her Etsy site.
Heh - thankfully some other members of the Fibertarian Party have already weighed in on this, but yes -- that sandwich is definitely crocheted, not knit.
I wouldn't qualify it as amigurumi, but then again, there's a lot of things classified as anime that I think shouldn't be, either.
As a frequenter of craft sites, I never understood the obsession some people have with fake, miniature food. Some of it looks quite real and some of it is very well crafted, but what for?
SenorMysterioso: HOOKER?! I'll have you know I'm a professional textile manufacturer, friend! Say otherwise and you'll be prying a size "G" hook out of your frontal lobe. ;-)
See, knitting needles might be overtly dangerous, but crochet hooks have a more...ominous...subtlety. Allow me to demonstrate on commenter Ted here...
