Ramen Bath

Alex

We've posted about the crazy Yunessun Spa Resort in Hakone, Japan, where you can literally bathe in coffee, green tea, wine and sake.

But the spa isn't resting on its laurels: it just added a new "attraction," the Ramen Bath:

The bath, shaped like a ramen bowl, contains pepper-flavored water colored a light, milky brown, to like tonkotsu (pork bone) ramen soup. The special bath was created jointly by the theme park and a famous ramen shop, Nantsuttei in Hadano, Kanagawa Prefecture.

The bath was completed at the unveiling event, with the owner of Nantsuttei adding "noodles" made of bathwater additives into the tub.

The water contains collagen and garlic extracts, and theme park officials claim it can help produce beautiful skin and aid moisture retention.

Plus, if you're hungry, you can just sip a little broth! http://mdn.mainichi-msn.co.jp/national/news/20070714p2a00m0na024000c.html - via Japan Probe, Thanks John!

If you've never spent the time to watch a spider spin its web you are missing out on a very profound experience. Yes, it can take at least an hour for them to spin their web but the precision in which they weave is astounding. How one little arachnid keeps track of all the angles, lines and junctions boggles the mind.

The thing I always wondered about was how a spider physically gets from several bushes and trees to create the main 6 or 7 support cables that form the basis of the circular web. To me that's more remarkable than the web itself.
