I grew up next to an ANG base in Connecticut and these things (along with A-10's) were a common sight flying above my neighborhood.

not a sikorsky, but who can forget this image of a russian chopper airlifting a giant block of ice containing (as it turned out, portions of) a wooly mammoth?

I saw one of these monsters lift the statue that sits atop the US Capitol from the ground to its more traditional home. It was hidden behind the Capitol building and when it took off, I couldn't figure out what that tremendous sound was! Soon I saw it - the blades were wider than the dome and it looked like a bug invasion over Washington DC!
